Itinerary
Day 1
Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport and embark on a city tour to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local craft markets. Enjoy lunch in Kigali, then take a scenic drive northwards through the rolling terraced hills of Rwanda ('Land of a Thousand Hills') to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze / Kinigi.

Day 2
1st Mountain Gorilla Tracking & Afternoon Iby'Iwacu Cultural Walk
Assemble at the Kinigi Park Headquarters at 7:00 AM for a hot cup of Rwandan coffee, briefing by senior park rangers, and gorilla group allocation. Ascend into the misty bamboo rainforest to track your first gorilla family. Once located, spend a thrilling and respectful 1 hour observing their social interactions, feeding, and playing. Return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Iby'Iwacu Cultural Village (Gorilla Guardian Village) to experience traditional Rwandan dance, drumming, and ancient royal traditions.

Day 3
2nd Mountain Gorilla Tracking Encounter
Return to the park headquarters for a new briefing and allocation to a different habituated gorilla family (such as Susa, Amahoro, Karisimbi, or Sabyinyo), giving you a diverse perspective on troop sizes and silverback behaviors. Spend an unforgettable 1 hour with this second family before returning to the lodge for an afternoon of relaxation and panoramic mountain views.

Day 4
Golden Monkey Tracking & Transfer back to Kigali
Early morning briefing at the park headquarters before heading into the bamboo zone for golden monkey tracking. Golden monkeys are active, lively, and photogenic primates endemic to the Virunga volcanoes. Spend 1 hour watching them leap through the bamboo canopy. Return to the lodge for freshening up and lunch, then transfer back to Kigali for your onward flight or hotel drop-off.
