Overview

What this trip is

The Kilimanjaro Umbwe Route (also known as the 'Vodka Route') is considered the hardest but most spectacular and direct way to reach Uhuru Peak. Due to its steep difficulty level, it has very few climbers, providing a fantastic sense of isolation, knife-edge ridge walking, and dramatic perspectives of the Breach Wall and Southern Glaciers. Recommended for fit and experienced hikers.
