2-Day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari from Zanzibar

A two-day journey from Zanzibar combining Tarangire's huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees with a half-day descent into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater in search of the Big Five.

Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Zanzibar → Arusha → Tarangire National Park → Suricata Boma Lodge

   Early morning hotel pick-up in Zanzibar → transfer to airport → flight to Arusha → meet your safari guide → drive to Tarangire National Park (~2–3 hours) → full day exploring Tarangire (huge elephant herds, iconic baobab trees, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, birdlife along the Tarangire River) → picnic lunch inside the park while continuing game viewing → drive to Suricata Boma Lodge for dinner and overnight.

2. Day 2

   Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive → Arusha Airport → Zanzibar

   Early breakfast → depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area (~3–4 hours) → descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive (the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, endangered black rhino — plus hippos, flamingos, and stunning caldera scenery) → picnic lunch at the crater floor → ascend and drive back to Arusha Airport → flight to Zanzibar → hotel transfer.
